Hi, I’m Andrea and this is the first time that I have ever written a blog, but then this is the start of many more ‘firsts’ for me.

I am a busy wife and mum with two teenage children.  Previously a civil servant who spent a few years in Sydney, Australia. After returning to Wales I found myself unemployed for the first time and decided to return to college and do something completely different. That decision has brought me to being a mature student (on the wrong side of 40) and just starting a BA (Hons) Artist Designer: Maker course, at Cardiff School of Art and Design (CSAD).

I am very excited about this new challenge and looking forward to the new skills that I will be learning. You can follow the highs and lows of my new journey in this blog, but “hold on tight it could be a bumpy ride”!
